Hi, I’m Jo

I have always had a love of food and cooking for as far back as I can remember, ever since I was a young child helping my grandma in her kitchen. The catalyst for the creation of Beyond Baked Beans was the cooking party I held for my daughter’s 10th birthday. All the kids had so much fun and afterwards I received many requests to host parties from the parents of the kids who had been attending as guests….and so Beyond Baked Beans was born!

My mission is to help people of all ages, abilities and disabilities have access to good food. With a few simple cooking skills, good food can be delicious, nutritious as well as affordable. My classes are a great way to have fun, feel supported and make connections in the community.

“Everyone deserves access to good food. And if you know how to cook, good food is affordable.”

Our classes are inclusive. Children with SEN/disabilities and their families are warmly welcomed!

Please note: we are a trauma-informed provider.
